While Sean and I are away we are putting our lessons on sale. The catch is you have to take your discounted lesson between June 14th and June 28th.
Pick from the following classes to start learning the ancient art of glassblowing.
A Taste: A quick introduction to the shop, tools and equipment. A couple of paper weights will be made--initially clear and then using color. This is a great opportunity to feel the heat and experience glass-making first hand. This one-hour, private lesson usually costs $80 now only $70. To sign up for this class click here.
An Appetizer: In addition to the topics covered in our taste class participants will gain a further understanding of glass as a material. Most students will progress to making a blown form. This class is a great way to get into the shop and begin to understand glassblowing. It's also fun to take with a friend as you'll learn to work together. This two hour class is for one or two people and usually costs $160 now only $140. To sign up for this class click here.
The Entrée: For the more serious students we offer a 9 hour course. This is for the student who either has a specific project in mind or is committed to learning the art of glassblowing. Since the lessons are private, the shape of this course really depends on your personal goals. This course is on sale for $585. To sign up for this class click here.
About the instructor: Jenna Efrein graduated from Alfred University in 2009 with a degree in Sculptural/Dimensional Studies with a focus in glass. She has been working with glass since 1989.
Please note: These classes are a learning experience and therefore we cannot guarantee the success of the glass objects you create. However, you will be allowed to keep everything you make, as well as all of the demonstration pieces that the instructor produces.
